The chateau Houska lies in the village Zakupy on the Zamecky vrch hill set in a beautiful nature at the south part of the Ceska Lipa region. The chateau has been built by order of the king Premysl Otakar II in the beginning of his government. Hnek from Duba was another possessor of it. This magnificent chateau has tetragonal ground plan with covered middle court. The most precious monument there is the “Zelena svetnice” (the Green room”) with original painting from 16th century. Then the chateau chapel follows. During the high summer season even nights guided tours are prepared for visitors.
